Lanvin Pre-Fall 2016
Following Alber Elbaz’s exit from Lanvin after a stellar 14-year tenure, Chemena Kamali who joined Lanvin from Chloé just a few weeks before Elbaz’s departure and Lucio Finale as in charge of bags and shoes, were appointed temporarily to lead the team of designers. The duo presented a small collection having some references from Lanvin’s past like a sculpted mustard satin tunic and some references from Chloé like a white cotton shirt with frilled collar and cuffs that peeked out from a rubberized black cotton trench. The spray dyed fur coat and the long dress made with velvet on top and lace at the bottom were significant pieces from the collection that both had a little boho vibe. In sum, the collection couldn’t give a clear idea on the path Lanvin will follow, but let’s wait for the Fall/Winter 2016 collection.
