Chanel Spring/Summer 2016 Couture
Eco-inspired
Chanel show took place at the Grand Palais with a décor that looked like a Japanese garden or spa with wooden floors, surrounded by trees and the bluest sky. Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by the nature and the eco trend for the collection, thus the collection was mostly in all pale, earthy neutral colors. Even wood shavings were used in the decorations of the couture pieces. As the show continued, the clothes became lighter and shinier. Long silk dresses, organza capes, honey bee embroideries took over the runway. And Mica Arganaraz closed the show as Karl’s bride in a beautiful wedding gown. Gidi and Bella Hadid sisters and Kendal Jenner were also within the models who walked down the Chanel runway.
