Tom Ford Will Not Show At NYFW
Following the footsteps of Proenza and Burberry
First Proenza Schouler announced that their Pre-fall 2016 collection will be visible when it arrives in stores in April. Then Burberry followed with their decision of dropping the traditional schedule and presenting two seasonless women's and men's combined collections per year, when the collections are available for purchase. And now, Tom Ford revealed the postponement of their Fall/Winter 2016 women’s and men’s presentations, which was scheduled for February 18 during NYFW, until when the collection will be available for purchase. Tom Ford explains that four-month-long waiting period between is expensive and disconnects the consumers from the clothes and this decision is an effort to close the gap between the brand and its consumers.
