Alexander Wang Fall/Winter 2016
Bad Girls Went to Church
Alexander Wang presented his Fall/Winter 2016 Collection at St Bartholomews, a church where services are still held, as part of New York Fashion Week. On the runway, there were the anti-socials, riot girls, outsiders of Wang Squad in dog-collar necklaces, chain-link jewelry, beanies and clothing that read the words ‘strict’ and ‘tender’. The previously sporty meets urban Wang woman, now became a grungy badass with this new collection. Although Wang stated that the collection was inspired by the ‘pop culture’, the show-goers thought that it was rather the ‘pot culture’.
