Delpozo Fall/Winter 2016
Magical, Artful, Couture-like
Delpozo presented a magical, fashion forward collection that has mesmerized the show-goers during NYFW. One of the inspirations of the designer Josep Font was the 1927 silent film by the Austrian-German expressionist Fritz Lang, ‘Metropolis’ which shows a futuristic, urban dystopia with Art Deco-style sets. The clothing was voluminous, the silhouettes were couture-like, the colors were bright and the extremely beautiful appliqués were 3D. From the color palette to the fabrics, everything was in a beautiful contrast, metallics and vibrant primary colors against muted pastels and neutrals and structured satins, jacquards and wools against silks and chiffons. The accessory game was also on point with sparkly shoes, flower appliqued mini bags and super long leather gloves. It was a fairytale collection where futurism met romance met art.
