Erdem Fall/Winter 2016
Erdem Moralıoğlu’s latest collection were almost as if it was made for an old Hollywood movie. The collection was romantic and delicate with suits and dresses, but with more tailoring this time and new fabrics like tweed and jeans that the designer doesn’t frequently use in his collections. In the backstage, the designer told that he imagined office girls tossing on a Twenties shift, a swishy Thirties number or a Forties suit and rushing off for film auditions, destined to fail more than succeed. “Faded grandeur,” he said. The collection felt modest and historical, but in a good way!
