THAKOON'S PRE-FALL 2015
Inspired by Mia Farrow
If you want to get in the mood for Thakoon’s latest pre-fall collection, you will have to go back in time. The starting point of the collection is a black-and-white paparazzi shot of Mia Farrow from an old Permanent Food magazine. The pieces were definitely providing a deja-vu experience, it was not about creating something entirely new – but more about reworking the ideas that were already on the table. The brand stands for American casual wear with subtle feminine touches and these pieces were definitely fit for the brand’s philosophy.Cotton shirts, laced sweaters, a dress that you can bring from the day to night are all bohemian influenced wardrobe stables that anyone would want in their wardrobe. This year marks Thakoon’s 10th anniversary, and even after only a decade the brand is successful in creating a trademark that is both casual but exciting.
