Emojis have managed to replace words in the last year. According to the latest report, the most popular word of 2014 was an emoji – specifically the “heart” emoji. This is the first time that the concept of a “word” has been challenged- thus identifying a major change in how we identify languages. But once again, who could ever imagine a life without the heart emoji?
