Henry Moore Wunderkammer: Origin of Forms
Taking place now at the Gagosian in London
It has only been two years since the Henry Moore retrospective took place in Tate Modern – but Gagosian Gallery has just opened another exhibition for the British artist. This special exhibition will discover the origins behind Moore’s works by creating a maquette of his studio. Since Moore was often fascinated with the organic shapes of nature, the artist usually plastered these forms into his sculptures. This exhibition again features more than 60 works on paper that illustrate natural objects and forms that Moore used in transformation to art. Be sure to stop by the gallery until the 2nd of April to get a glimpse of the artistic stages Moore went through when producing.
