Fendi Fall 2015 RTW
Fur, fur and more fur
Welcome into the furry world of Lagerfeld. Yesterday, Fendi presented its Fall/Winter 2015 ready-to-wear collection as a part of Milano Fashion Week. The collection, inspired by the graphic works of 1920s Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber- Arp started off with lean and white silhouettes that were at time combined with a touch of red. Then the designer continued with patches of colour in orange, mustard and red (often in leather form) but the focus always seemed to be on the fur. Taking an anti-retro stand, Karl extracted shapes and volumes from Taeuber in futurist forms. Continuing with the floral motifs and corsages and furs, the collection exhibited pumped up proportions on giant dresses and coats. Don’t worry Karl, next fall we won’t be cold – and that is all thanks to you.
