“A Postcard from Ýstanbul”
Directed by John Malkovich for St. Regis Ýstanbul
Who can think of a better name than John Malkovich to direct an opening movie for a hotel? Apparently, St. Regis İstanbul agrees. The hotel has just collaborated with Malkovich on a movie titled “A Postcard from İstanbul” to celebrate the opening of the new hotel. Featuring the Turkish actress Belçim Bilgin, the film shows Sands playing a writer who travels to İstanbul to find some inspiration. The five-minute long movie features no dialogues but the audience hears voiceovers like “I’m listening to İstanbul”. Because who needs to be distracted by voices when you are in such a beautiful city?
