“What is Luxury?”
Explore the meaning of luxury with the new exhibition at V&A
This Saturday, a new exhibition is set to open at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Titled “What is Luxury?”, the exhibition will feature more than 100 unique objects to deeply explore the meaning of luxury and how it has changed over the centuries. The objects include a Iris Van Herpen’s couture dress, a Hermes saddle and a handcrafted Space Travellers’ Watch – all proving to be different than what we see during our daily routines. But not all items in the exhibition are truly related with fashion, so the works aim to question the meaning of luxury with a controversial understanding. If you are having a hard time defining what luxury means to you, be sure to pay a visit to the V&A Museum until the 27th of September.
