Most Popular Emojis According to Countries

And what that means about you

burls

Remember the time before emojis stepped in? Neither do we! That is why a new study has tackled popularity of emojis in different countries. Mobile keyboard app SwiftKey just publishes its first emoji report – analyzing more than one billion icons used by users in 16 languages. The company started out with identifying the 60 most popular emojis around the world. Apparently happy faces make up 44.8%, sad faces make up 14.33%, hearts make up 12.5% while hand gestures make up 5.3%. Canadians use the “smiling poop” more than anyone around the world, while American men prefer eggplants. French are the people of love – even online. They use the heart emoji four times more than any other language and they also top the world with wedding related emojis. Arabic users are mostly fond of flowers and plants, eight times more than the average. British are extremely fond of the winking emoji – using it twice more than the average rate. And surprising news, Turkish are the people who use the most of happy faces – so cheers to that!
