Farfetch Has Acquired London’s Browns Boutique

More news from the fashion industry about mergers. Digital giant Farfetch has just announced that they have acquired London boutique – Browns. The store located at Mayfair was founded and run by the Burstein family and will go through major changes with the new acquisition. According to WWD, Farfetch is planning to experiment with the physical store with splicing online and offline retail. The details also include Farfetch purchasing 100% of the boutique even though further news have not been shared about the merger. Under the acquisition, Browns will continue operating as a separate entity from Farfetch with Net-a-Porter’s fashion director as CEO to shadow the growth of digital and physical businesses.
