A round-up

It’s a wrap people! This year’s festival has officially reached its end yesterday with magical appearances on the red carpet, controversies and great movies. The 68th edition of Cannes Film Festival was closed with a surprising Palme d’0r winner: “Dheepan” by Jacques Audiard with a Sri Lankan refugee drama. “Son of Saul”, A Holocaust drama from the first-time filmmaker Laszlo Nemes, took home the Grand Prix while “The Lobster” by Yorgos Lanthimos was awarded the Prix Du Jury. The rest of the winners included Hou Hsiao-Hsein as best director, Vincent Lindon as best actor and Rooney Mara tying with Emmanuelle Bercot as the best actress. See you next year!
