“The Language of Flowers”

Floral themes at the Gucci Museo in Florence

gucci museo

“The Language of Flowers” is the seventh exhibition of the Pinault Collection at the Gucci Museo and explores one of the most prominent themes of Gucci: Flowers. The exhibition features works from Marlene Dumas, Valerie Belin, Latifa Echakhch and Irving Penn to pay homage to the iconic flora motif created for Princes Grace of Monaco in 1966. The works portrayed show flowers as more than just a beautiful creature and express the complex themes that emerge from them. Curated by Martin Bethenod, the exhibition is open to visitors until the 20th of September – be sure to stop by if you happen to be in Florence this summer.
