Google Wants to Count the Calories in Your Instagram Posts

Do you really want to ruin your #foodporn?

Who hasn’t tasted the joy of sharing a greatly-prepared brunch on Instagram? Google is about to take the joy in the process by creating a program called “Im2Calories”. The program will scan the picture to give an estimated count of the calories inside the dish. The application will calculate the amount of calories ın the nutrition labels and Google has stated that it still has room for progress. Google has already filed a patent for the capability and we’ll just have to wait and see if it will be good enough to make us feel bad about that last Bellini.
