Alexander McQueen Spring 2016
An ode to all the romantic sailors
Victorian sailors who did not fail in getting a dose of romanticism took the center stage in Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2016 show. The tattoo prints on suits – because inking your skin has now become too mainstream – were also keeping the nautical spirit alive combined with dazzle ship camouflages. Sarah Burton added her touch to the ever-in-style classic peacoats with white buttons and silver oversized grommets. The flared pants revived the seventies in a youthful and sporty way – a quality Alexander McQueen always has.
