Gucci Spring/Summer ‘16 Menswear

Welcoming the new Gucci

Alessandro Michele has introduced us a brand new Gucci which is far away from Frida Giannini’s understanding of glamour. The designer chose to carry the venue to the outskirts of Milan which used to be the Farini train station. Michele believed in the new punk and the young generation to create a new perception of the body and of fashion. The heritage brand which had become associated with slick suits is now more free and feminine than ever with silk and lace blouses and ambiguous sexuality. It was all about prints, colors and embellishment with punk studs on sandals and sailor influences. The botanical theme was extended with birds and butterflies placed on retro influences – just in line with the Cruise line up. It’s only been five months but it is definitely safe to say that we like the new Gucci by Michele.
