Saint Laurent Returns to Couture
“Yves Saint Laurent” label is back
The last haute couture collection of the French maison was in 2002 by the founder Yves Saint Laurent himself. After 13 years, the creative director, Hedi Slimane decided that it is time for the brand to return to couture. The exclusive artisanal couture pieces that will be designed and made by order, will carry the classic Yves Saint Laurent label, and Slimane himself will determine which clients to be taken and which designs to carry the special label. The couture pieces will be made at the brand’s new atelier, at Hôtel de Sénecterre a 17th-century Parisienne mansion, located at 24 Rue de l'Université.
