Dream wardrobe

Dries Van Noten show is one of the most crowd-pulling show of the Paris Fashion Week. On the second day of the PFW, Belgian designer showed his latest collection and struck a balance between feminine and masculine style with a 1950s inspired outing. Noten is known for his play with the rich shades together and in the SS 16 Show, there were a lot of jeweled tones like shades of pink and yellow and green and, most dominantly, purple that were strong enough to put out one’s eyes, styled in ways that forced one to sit up and take notice. The opening look was a loose white slip with gold-beaded bodice, paired with a heavy overcoat finished with dainty gold sprigs. Noten said, “This season it was really about the flamboyant woman – she’s not just eccentric, because that can be old with 25 cats,” and he continued backstage. “She wants to live, she wants to show herself, she wants to enjoy life. She knows how to mix things and she dares to.”
