Fendi For Fountains of Rome
A Celebration of Italian Art, History and Culture
In 2013, Fendi decided to give back to its hometown, the Eternal City of Rome and launched the Fendi for Fountains project. With this Project, the Italian fashion house aimed to revive the original luster of Rome's landmark fountains, starting with the storied Trevi and the Quattro Fontane complex. This month marks the completion of the fashion house’s rehabilitation of the world-famous Trevi Fountain and its move into the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, built by Mussolini’s regime for the 1942 World’s Fair that was canceled after Italy joined World War II. In celebration of this, a new exhibition of paintings, film excerpts and more are on the building’s ground floor.
