Fendi Unveils Brand New HQ

New home at Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana

Italian fashion house Fendi has moved into its new headquarters at Rome's Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana – a building commissioned by dictator Benito Mussolini in 1943 that has been renovated by local architect Marco Costanzi. After undergoing an extensive two-year  makeover, Fendi is ready to unveil the colossal premises of its new headquarters at the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, a Roman architectural landmark that is synonymous with the magnificence of the city. The striking six-story marble cube was designed in 1937 and built in 1940 as an exhibition hall but never used due to the outbreak of the Second World War. It has remained largely unused since the Second World War, largely due to its fascist connections. The opening was celebrated with a party featuring a light installation by artist Mario Nanni, as well as an exclusive art exhibit that featured a variety of paintings, images, drawings and sketches by Italian architects such as Gino Severini, Mario Sironi, Enrico Prampolini, Francesco Messina. The exhibition will be opened to the public starting from October 23 2015, and it’s located on the first floor of the Palazzo della Civilta Italiana,  in the area Fendi has committed to exhibitions.
