Zoolander At Valentino Fashion Show
Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson walked the runway at the Valentino Fall/Winter 2015 show in character as, respectively, Derek Zoolander and Hansel. The duo donned blue silk pajama suits with matching trench coats draped daintily from their fabulous shoulders, and they made their way down the runway to the tune "Don't You Want Me" by The Human League. Stiller has worked on the script for Zoolander 2, which will premiere in February 2016, for 10 years. Penelope Cruz is confirmed to co-star and It-girl, model and aspiring actor Cara Delevingne is rumored to make an appearance.
Rihanna’s Met Gala Gown
Rihanna hit the red carpet at the Chinese-themed Met Gala bash in a huge yellow gown by Chinese couture designer Guo Pei. Barbadian singer turned heads as she hit the red carpet of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala 2015 in New York City. After making her way into the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rihanna changed into a more manageable red strapless dress.
Joan Didion as the new face of Celine
The 80-year-old novelist, famed for her graceful prose, was the new face of luxury French fashion house’s Spring 2015 campaign. The campaign which features Didion in oversized sunglasses, a classic black dress and necklace, is shot by Juergen Teller. Didion was an ideal fit for the brand which under the helm of Phoebe Philo has become famous for its creations which are both effortless and timeless.
Givenchy debut at New York Fashion Week
The French brand Givenchy helmed by Riccardo Tisci unveiled its SS16 collection in New York over Paris for the first time ever on the 14th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The long-anticipated show began on Pier 26 just as the sun was setting, and the Memorial of Light commemorating the Twin Towers lit up in the background. At the event, celebrity supporters included actresses Julia Roberts, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Hudson, Karen Elson, Nicki Minaj and Steven Tyler.
Alber Elbaz exits Lanvin
Alber Elbaz, the former creative director of Lanvin, left the Parisian fashion house after 14 years at the helm. Israeli designer is reportedly upset at Lanvin’s majority shareholder, Shaw-Lan Wang. While the two used to be friends, the Israeli designer blamed the businesswoman for allegedly sending Lanvin staff an email blaming Elbaz for poor designs, resulting in the house’s financial woes.
Alexander Wang’s 10 year anniversary
The young designer Alexander Wang celebrated 10 years anniversary of his brand during the Alexander Wang Spring Summer 2016 Fashion Show, in New York City. Wang started his business in 2005 and since, he's quickly become one of the most promising American designers of this generation.
Raf Simmons stepped down at Dior
Raf Simons left his role as artistic director of women’s haute couture, ready-to-wear and accessory collections at Dior. According to Dior, Simons “reached this decision for personal reasons.” The designer’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection, presented in September, was his last for Dior and marks the end of his three-and-a-half year tenure at the house.
Kanye West Yeezy Wins Shoe of the Year
Kanye West received the "Shoe of the Year" trophy at an awards show in New York, for the Yeezy Boost 350 he designed as part of his collaboration with Adidas. This award is adidas’ second time in winning the honor, the first time being awarded to the iconic Stan Smith last year, when the man himself stepped up to the stage to receive the award.

Singer Justin Bieber was chosen as the new face of Calvin Klein, and a number of new advertising photos and videos have been published as part of #mycalvins campaign. Justin’s Calvin Klein campaign boosted the brand's social media credentials and the campaign's hashtag #mycalvins generated 1.6 million Twitter mentions in the first 48 hours; that's five times the amount of #breaktheinternet mentions that Kim Kardashian and her bare derriere accumulated for Paper Magazine.
